He drove wild & reckless with brake rotors glowing for most of the race, slapped the wall, bounced off other drivers as well as the wall and still won. It’s always better to be lucky than good. Unfortunately, he’s both! If comparisons to Dale Earnhardt make your teeth grind, get a tooth guard, because it’s only going to get worse! The good news is Dale Jr. is still 3rd in points. He finished 4th, and was happy to do so. Darlington isn’t his favorite track. The retro Mountain Dew 88 qualified on the outside pole, ran fast, leading 35 laps, then began to fade, and Tony Jr. just couldn’t seem to find the problem. |
